Working Well With Your Custom Dissertation Advisor

In this competitive world we all want to be good from others. But to be a best student is some thing else which requires dissertation advice from experts. We all need help from our dissertation advisor to complete our dissertation help. A good advisor will always support you to grow as a scholar, while helping you navigate the dissertation process so you can complete easily. A good advisor will never accept low quality work or bypasses the process.

Day in and day out I receive these kind of questions from the students of USA and UK who are perusing degrees of PHD and Masters.

• Why I am not getting good comments from my professor?
• How can my friends having good comments on their dissertations?
• Why I am too late to publish my dissertation?
• How my friends submitted their dissertations and get them published also in a very short time frame.

While there are not such “bad” advisors also. But there are some reasons which shows up poor advisory relationship between advisor and advisee which always creates when there is a difference in level of emotional match between the advisor and advisee. My experience tells me that lack of emotional match is the biggest reason of dissertation advisory relationships fail.

Lack of emotional match shows up when you feel stressed and worried about what your advisor going to think about you, what he or she will say and this fear or tension impact your capacity to actually get your work done. Unfortunately lack of emotional match happens quite often between the relationship of advisor and advisee. This all happens due to few factors behind it which are:

1. A graduate student commonly ask these question to it self:
• Do I like this person?
• Do I respect this person?
• Would I want to be like him or her as a person?

2. Second common factor is that a graduate student does not take ownership or direction of the dissertation process and looses allot of time by gauge what would pleased the advisor rather than focusing on getting through the custom dissertation process quickly.

3. The graduate student always try to select advisor due to advisor’s status. They do not know that most of the advisors don’t have the capacity to effectively advise also.

So be sure not to focus solely on your advisor’s accomplishment and achievements. His or her glory will not reflect on you when you are unable to complete your dissertation and get your degree.

If you’ve decided to take dissertation advice from an expert you must be 100% sure that this is the authentic advisor. This is more important than the actual dissertation it self.
